Status: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Days: Monday - Friday
Hours: 40/week

SUMMARY
Under general direction of the Vice President, Human Resources, the Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for managing the entire recruiting life cycle which includes, but not limited to: position acquisition, sourcing, advertising, Applicant Tracking System (ATS) activity, resume screening, interviewing, hiring recommendations, offer presentation and internal transfer process.  The Talent Acquisition Specialist will partner with the hiring managers and recruiters in defining the critical hiring needs to attract a diverse set of qualified candidates for the organization. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will proactively identify candidates through direct and indirect sourcing techniques, including complex internet searches (Boolean searches), cold calling, social/professional networking career events, diversity resources and competitor research to build a strong network of passive and active candidates. This position requires the need to be innovative and constantly creating new strategies to engage with and deliver top talent.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Understand staffing needs and develop a proactive, innovative sourcing/recruitment strategy to attract and recruit top diverse talent.
  • Performs advanced sourcing through various mediums including internal and external database mining, networking, associations, universities, community agencies, social media, referrals, Boolean search strings, online and traditional directories as well as other innovative sourcing methods.
  • Performs initial evaluation to ensure candidates meet both job and organization requirements.
  • Continually evaluates sourcing strategies. Stays abreast of current and emerging technologies to proactively identify new venues for identifying diverse qualified talent.
  • Attends or organizes recruitment events, as needed, to source new candidates
  • Conducts cold calls to passive candidates to present opportunities
  • Develops and maintains network and database of potential candidates for future consideration, including pipeline of passive candidates
  • Communicate with past applicants regarding new job opportunities
  • Ask for referrals from current employees and external networks
  • Enters and maintains accurate information in the Applicant Tracking System and/or sourcing tracking system.
  • Works closely with HR Generalist on recruiting efforts
  • Assists with New Employee/Volunteer orientation
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
  • Associate’s Degree in Human Resources, Communications, Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.  Healthcare experience preferred
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in recruitment and/or sourcing preferably in a high volume recruiting environment. 
  • Experience with and knowledge of sourcing effectiveness, screening, interviewing, selection and candidate assessment techniques
  • Intermediate or advanced level experience with using electronic media, social networking, internet research, candidate mining, and professional organizations to source candidates and build talent pipelines.
  • Demonstrated successful experience directly soliciting passive candidates via the phone or other methods.
  • Demonstrated success working independently, developing and maintaining relationships and managing multiple tasks that meet or exceed deadlines with minimal direction.
  • Exhibits excellent oral and written communication
  • Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants (e.g., Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, etc.).
  • Technically savvy, with the ability to quickly pick up and understand new tools and technologies
  • Ability to identify and assess challenges using critical thinking, data collection methods, analysis, experience and judgement to identify and implement solutions in a timely manner.
  • Establishes and maintains a recruiting network throughout local high schools, colleges, universities and area industry to develop, identify and recruit new diverse talent for the organization.
  • Delivers available, diverse, qualified sourcing pools for recruiters to screen talent
  • High level of proficiency using Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel, and Applicant Tracking Systems/databases.
  • Effective time-management abilities
  • Strong interpersonal and consultative skills
