Asotin County Public Health District is seeking a qualified governmental accountant and human resource specialist for a small but passionate public health district. The District's mission is to lead the community through education and evidence-based practices to prevent illness, promote health, and protect the environment to improve the quality of life in our communities.
Position Summary: The Fiscal Administrator is the key leader of accounting and human resource functions of the District including, but not limited to Accounting, Budgeting, Multi-Period Financial Reporting, Human Resources, Asset Management, Accounts Payable, Grant/Contract Billing, Accounts Receivable, Time and Effort Tracking & Leave Accruals, Cost Allocations, and serves as agency-wide Database Administrator. Competency is demonstrated by the successful approach and deployment of methods necessary to optimize the work of the District and achieve progressively improving levels of performance. Supervises two positions.
Qualifications: Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field. Minimum of three, preferably five years of practical experience in a business environment including governmental accounting, general ledger, and financial statement preparation. Minimum of two years of daily work-flow use QuickBooks Online Accounting experience. Must pass criminal background check.
Wage range: $32.55 $35.47
