SKILLED
LABORER
General Duties:
This position requires
general maintenance of
the citys water supply and
distribution system, line
maintenance, operation of
equipment, grounds
maintenance and general
labor work.
Essential Duties: Light
maintenance of water
equipment, vehicles, front
end loader, lawn mowers,
power generators, portable
pumps, backhoe,
snowplow trucks, and
dump trucks. And other
work as directed by the
director of public works.
The position requires
being on call during
weekends and after hours
on a rotating basis, work
in adverse weather
conditions, have a class B
CDL driver license and
able to lift 50 pounds
regularly throughout the
workday. Candidate must
be able to pass a
pre-employment drug test
with participation in the
Citys drug testing
program. A Class I or
Class II Water Certification
and/or willing to obtain
basic certification is
desirable.
Salary is based on
experience.
The city is an EOE.
Hours - minimum of 40
hours per week. This is a
full time position with
health insurance and
PERSI retirement benefits.
Salary is dependent on
qualifications and prior
work experience.
