Maintenance Worker
The city of Rigby is seeking an individual for maintenance worker working in the city streets, sanitation, parks and water/sewer departments. The work is performed under the direction of the public works director. The principal duties are performed outdoors and may include working in adverse weather conditions and hazards involving the use of power tools, equipment and exposure to hazardous materials. Must be able to follow written and oral instructions; operate a motor vehicle; operate hand tools. Must have a current CDL Idaho drivers license. Sufficient personal strength and stamina to perform operation and maintenance tasks which require pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and lifting, working in enclosed and confined spaces, ability to lift objects up to 75 pounds, and work in a maintenance environment. Applicant must have a clean driving record and able to pass a pre-employment and random drug testing program. Wage based on experience and qualifications. The city of Rigby is an Equal Employment Employer. Hours minimum 35 hours per week. Water and/or sewer collections certificates would be preferred but not required.
