Primary Purpose
To monitor and manage College of Technology (COT) scholarships ensuring they are awarded in accordance with donor intent and University policies.
Key Responsibilities
The Assistant Director of Scholarship Management & Donor Relations at the College of Technology will work closely with the Director of STEM & Industry Relations and the Director of Development to include the following:
Work to ensure that COT Scholarships are:
Awarded in accordance with donor designations as established in fund agreements.
Awarded in accordance with ISU policies as they relate to the fund agreements.
Work with faculty and students to:
Ensure that faculty at COT are aware of available scholarships and of ISU policy and proper use of the BOSS system.
Present to students the opportunities available for specific programs as well as overall scholarship opportunities accessed through BOSS.
Offer training and support in the scholarship process to both faculty and students.
Work directly with donors to ensure continued contributions to their scholarship funds and to that end, do the following:
Work with the ISU Foundation and scholarship recipients to ensure thank you letters are being sent to donors.
Identify and highlight scholarship recipients on a monthly basis to showcase to donors.
Send cards, emails, and make phone calls on a regular basis to stay connected with donors.
Ensure that annual donors are being notified when scholarships are awarded (This is essential with industry donors who require notification along with an invoice to ensure they are staying current on their commitments.).
Organize and lead scholarship committee meetings where the committee members will make recommendations to be submitted to the scholarship office.
Coordinate with faculty to select distinguished student award recipients and coordinate with the Dean’s office in recognizing the recipients.
Work with the recruitment office to encourage enrollment in targeted programs.
Assist the Development office with special projects and initiatives as they arise.
Oversee CPI positions assigned to the Development office.
Minimum Qualifications
-Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
-Experience in Public and/or Donor Relations
-Efficient with technology (Word, Excel, Google Docs, Powerpoint)
-Demonstrated strong organizational skills
-Demonstrated ability and/or desire to work with faculty, students, and staff from diverse backgrounds
-Solid written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
-Working knowledge of Idaho State University fund agreement process, BOSS, and College of Technology programs
-Experience with developing and maintaining established relationships with donors and outside entities, as well as working with students in higher education

Priority consideration will be given to applications received by August 31, 2019. However, the position will remain open until filled. Salary as been approved from $42,000 to $49,000 annually, commensurate with education and experience. Includes a competitive benefits package. Offers of employment may be conditional pending successful completion of a background investigation.
