Hiring an Executive Director
The Idaho Health Facilities Authority’s (IHFA) mission is to assist eligible nonprofit health care providers to obtain and maintain access to low-cost, tax exempt private or public capital market financing.
The IHFA is committed to helping borrowers meet the challenges of financing facilities and equipment to Improve the health and quality of life of the citizens of Idaho. The IHFA is an independent body, corporate and politic, established by the Idaho legislature in 1974 and is located in Boise, Idaho.
The IHFA seeks an Executive Director who will have responsibility for developing strategic priorities collaboratively with the Board of Directors as well as executing business operations. The Executive Director will provide both internal and external leadership for all aspects of the IHFA and be directly involved in implementing day-to-day operations.
Primary Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business or related field or equivalent; Master’s degree preferred
• 10+ years industry and/or senior-level management experience
• Strong experience in analytical skills, financial analysis, and technical financing
• Proven interpersonal and relational skills with Board members, stakeholders, and borrowers
• Excellent leadership, people-management, and organizational effectiveness skills
• Familiarity with municipal finance preferred
• Ability to develop and execute business plans as well as provide oversight in alignment with strategic and organizational goals/objectives
• Proven record of transparent, collaborative, and high-integrity leadership
• Proven ability to work collaboratively and in partnership with a Board of Directors
• Experience lobbying and/or representing organizational/industry needs to state and/or federal government
• Familiarity with public entity organizational and governance requirements preferred
• Strong organizational abilities including planning, program development, and accountability
• Effective communication skills, including ability to effectively represent IHFA externally
