Primary Purpose
This announcement will be used to fill two (2) vacant positions within the College of Technology. The primary purpose of these positions are to instruct students. In addition to teaching, the successful candidates will routinely participate in recruitment activities, ABET accreditation efforts, and perform service as assigned by the department or college.
Key Responsibilities
10% - ABET accreditation; service and administration duties
15% - Student recruitment
15% - Instruction development and preparation
60% - Student instruction
Minimum Qualifications
-Must be able to be certified by Idaho Division of Career Technical Education (https://cte.idaho.gov/educators/certifications/)
-Associate of Applied Science Degree or state license in related field and four (4) years experience (or Bachelor's Degree in related field and two (2) years industry experience)
-Must have ability to communicate technical experience and knowledge to others.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in related field.
- Seven (7) years experience teaching technical content.
- Ability to create instructional material.
- Experience with: Mechanical systems, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Instrumentation and/or Electrical equipment.
