Whole Life Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
We are an RBT Agency with the program located in Brooklyn and the group home located in Windham. We provide paid education, clinical supervision and support for employees at this site to obtain and maintain national certification as Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). We are seeking enthusiastic, energetic, experienced and responsible employees to join our team! We have full-time and part-time second and third-shift positions available. RBT starting rates of pay begin at $16.80.
Responsibilities: Works collaboratively with other members of a multidisciplinary team providing ABA-oriented supports in a small, community-based residential setting for individuals with I/DD and autism. Direct support using Applied Behavior Analysis Implements all behavior support plans, teaching protocols and support plans Participates in training and educational activities provided by the organization; obtains and maintains national RBT credential with agency sponsorship and support
Qualifications:
- Previous experience assisting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Familiarity with principles of applied behavior analysis
- Ability to be dependable, reliable and consistent
- Previous experience supporting adults with challenging behaviors
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively both independently and with direction, to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate good judgement, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong leadership qualities Direct Support Staff
Seeking person centered supports for people with IDD. The right candidates will have demonstrated the skills ie.,coordination of activities, following IP goals and typical operational tasks as necessary in a group home setting. Expectations are to participate and coordinate through DDS guidelines while maintaining the regulations for those that live and thrive in the group home setting. Must balance expectations, data collection, client funds and prioritize through decision making abilities within the confines of tasks while using creativity for the betterment of our individuals.
