Inventory Clerk
General Summary:
Maintain an inventory control system associated with the materials warehouse. Maintain accurate, efficient, and functional processes associated with transfers and receipts of inventory. Work with sub-contractors to ensure project materials are delivered and accounted for on upcoming work orders. Maintains limited shelf life on all inventory and reports on turn cycles.
Essential Job Functions / Certifications:
· Safeguards and maintains inventory at prescribed levels, issues materials, organizes inventory stock.
· Delivers, ships and received company materials and inventory.
· Maintains required records for inventory or consignments programs.
· Submits purchase requisitions for inventory stock replenishment.
· Works with vendors to maintain accurate and updated information on materials and works to maintain real-time inventory.
· Maintain established control system to ensure greater than 95% accuracy in order fulfillment and less than 1% discrepancies on all inventory audits.
· Maintains a safe, clean, organized, and secure warehousing environment.
· Works with supervisor to establish minimums/maximums on inventory.
· Works closely with contractors to ensure materials are accounted for and delivered for upcoming work orders.
· Maintain security in all warehouse locations.
· Review work orders issued to determines material needs. Request needed material for routine work while maintaining stock levels.
· Review work orders to ensure all materials have been allocated correctly.
· Assist accounting department with quarterly and year end audits.
· Follow processes/procedures to ensure that inventories for all associated companies are maintained, received, and redistributed correctly.
· Prepare reports and other documents for supervisor review regularly.
· Other duties as assigned.
· Adhere to all corporate policies and procedures.
· Provide exceptional customer service to internal customers.
· Have the ability to lift 100lbs occasionally and lift 50lbs regularly.
· Drive a truck with a trailer up to 20’ long, operating it safely hauling materials to other warehouse locations or jobsites.
· Responsibly operate a forklift/telehandler safely in a busy environment, loading/unloading semi-trucks and passenger trucks with trailers
· Obtain a Class A CDL with restrictions if a work area requires it.
· Track warehouse material using barcode scanning software system.
· Process customer conduit and contractor conduit requests
· Cover for other warehouse locations when needed, requires driving company vehicle to different work areas.
· Run weekly Min/Max report to maintain stock levels.
Minimum Education Requirements:
· High School Diploma plus 2 years of experience preferred.
