Assistant Professor
Assistant Professor at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. Requires PhD in Physics or Medical Physics, graduation from a 24 month CAMPEP accredited medical physics residency program; board certification or eligibility in Therapy Medical Physics from the American Board of Radiology; and 12 months of clinical brachytherapy experience. The Assistant Professor in the Division of Medical Physics in the Department of Radiation Oncology will perform the clinical duties of a medical physicist and quality assurance (QA), including linear accelerator calibration, stereotactic and image guidance process QA and brachytherapy (LDR and HDR) support; will engage in research and academic projects related to medical physics including brachytherapy; will teach in the physician residency program and our CAMPEP accredited medical physics residency program. The Assistant Professor may work at multiple University of Utah worksites including: the Huntsman Cancer Hospital, Huntsman Cancer Institute, the Farmington Health Center and the Sugarhouse Health Center.
