Part-Time Temporary Public Safety Monitors
Wor-Wic Community College is accepting applications for part-time public safety monitors to work at the screening checkpoints to verify and collect self-screenings, take temperatures of everyone passing through the checkpoints, issue verification materials (wristband/sticker/other) and prohibit people from accessing the campus if they do not meet college requirements to enter; patrol the college campus by foot to ensure every individual has been approved to be on campus and is wearing an approved face covering in public areas; and provide back-up to public safety as needed.
These positions are scheduled to work no more than 28 hours per week.
Requirements include a high school diploma or the equivalent; one year of experience working with the public; dependability; and demonstrated ethics and integrity, excellent customer service skills, ability to solve problems quickly and courteously, and a high degree of self-control to tolerate minor daily stressors while being helpful and sensitive to the needs of others.
Preference will be given to applicants with public safety experience. Successful applicants must pass a preemployment criminal background check.
The minimum starting hourly rate is $11.00. These positions are temporary and do not include benefits.
